G-ARC WC
WEAR COMPOUND

GeckoARC WC is an epoxy ceramic bead filled wear compound designed to combat extreme wear
conditions, engineered with reinforced with fibre technology to improve high impact resistance.

GeckoARC WC can be applied from 5mm to 40mm on one application.

Surface Preparation: The correct procedures are essential to give a high level of adhesion.

Remove all oils and grease contamination using approved cleaning methods prior to abrasive
blasting.

Abrasive blast to give a profile of 75 to 100 microns and a near white metal finish.

Smaller areas may be prepared with hand tools to clean and abrade the surface.

Mixing: Material temperature should be between 15 and 30OC for mixing.

Empty both pails, Parts A and B onto a mixing board and mix until uniform colour is obtained.

Working time (7kg) kit at 25oC is 60 minutes; mixing of full kits is recommended.

Application: Apply a thin layer of mixed material into the prepared profile. This ensures good surface
wetting with resulting high adhesion levels. Apply mixed material to required thickness and smooth
out with steel or plastic trowel, spraying a light mist of water over applied material facilitates final
trowelling to give a smooth surface finish.
